Role:

As a Software Practice Lead, you will be responsible for leading the tactical execution of Software and Systems Integration activities, developing and executing project and process plans, managing employees and suppliers, and maintaining relationships with customers, key stakeholders, and computing industry bodies.
As the leader of a multi-disciplinary, agile team, you will execute complex digital system integration in a multi-domain, secure environment, embedding world-class practices, methods, and tools across the business.
Dealing with software engineering and integration in defence or other regulated environments; knowledge of modern web/cloud-native technologies and platforms; subject matter expertise in simulation and training software or the computer gaming industry; and a proven track record in delivering on a software technology strategy, are all highly desirable.
Your experience:
To be considered for this role, you should have 3+ years of experience leading teams in multi-disciplinary matrix organizations and 5+ years of experience working in and leading software projects. Extensive experience in a modern software engineering environment and familiarity with DevSecOps, SCRUM, Agile, Scaled Agile, CI/CD, SaaS, Cloud, Code Quality, and Open Source frameworks, are required.

Process:
On applying, you can expect a two-stage process which is typically completed in two weeks. You will first have a virtual meeting with one of the Software Engineering Lead, which lasts up to 60 minutes. This will be a refreshingly open discussion around the company and their journey so far as well as a chance to speak more openly about you, what you enjoy doing and the direction in which you are looking to take your career.
Following this, a final stage 60 minute face-to-face will be arranged, with a VP, where you can expect to delve further into your background and technical skill-set, in addition to discussing cultural add and future opportunities within the organisation.
