Role:

Fortice are working closely with a UK Defence Agency who are looking to build out their Infrastructure Engineering team. Popular among individuals looking for a unique and challenging role where they’re able to develop their professional skills and career whilst delivering complex digital projects aligned to the UK’s Defence and Public Sector.

You will be working on a hybrid basis in Bristol and have the opportunity to collaborate.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone to bring in an objective view to their progress. You’d be helping make and implement changes, getting far more involved than with typical SOC analyst positions.

In this role you’ll work within the established monitoring and response frameworks to enable the timely and effective response and management of incidents, alarms, notifications, calls and all other activities related to the SOC including new and emerging cyber threats.

Relevant Experience:

Their culture of learning allows them to consider analysts who are eager to pick up certain skills in the process and don’t precisely meet their specifications.  Experience in the following areas is highly desirable:

  • 1+ years’ experience in a defensive information security role, or a recent graduate of a computer science / an information security related degree.
  • Network and host forensics, log analysis and basic malware analysis.
  • An understanding of core enterprise technologies such as Active directory, Linux etc.
  • Understanding of adversarial attack patterns, vulnerabilities and TTPs.
  • Splunk | Python | Bash PowerShell

You will be working on an interesting range of projects that deliver into Central Government customers and as such, you will need to either hold or be eligible for a high level of UK Security Vetting.
