Role:
As a Python Engineer for a global consultancy, you’ll initially align to a new data and cloud based transformational program for a healthcare customer.
You’ll be working on a high-profile platform for the customer, which requires continuous improvements and enhancements to meet the increased demand for additional functionality and data. You will be part of the delivery team contributing to the maintenance and improvement of the platform. This is a full-stack hands-on role.
Working hybrid, you would expect to be on site 3 days/month in Leeds.
This will require you hold an active UK Government Security Clearance, which you would be sponsored through by this employer, if not currently held.
This role will see Designing, coding, verifying, testing, documenting and refactoring complex programs/scripts and integration software services; Contributing to the selection of software development methods, tools and techniques; Participating in reviews of your own work and leading reviews of your colleagues’ work, and Leading teams of more junior Python and Data Engineers

Your experience:
As a Senior Python Software Developer, you will have demonstrable experience designing and developing software that lies between the front-end composer (GUI) and back-end tools.
You’ll have worked collaboratively within an Agile team to deliver into complex ecosystems, tackling varied technical challenges within a fast-paced environments.
The primary codebase is written in Python, although the team use a diverse range of tools and methods for which the following technologies are essential:
- Strong Full stack Python 3
- AWS
- ReactJS, JavaScript, CSS

Process:
On applying, you can expect a one-stage process which is typically completed within a week of applying. This 1-stage interview is conducted over Teams with one of the current Python Leads within the Healthcare-focused team, which lasts between 60 minutes. This will be a refreshingly open discussion around the company and their journey so far as well as a change to speak more openly about you, what you enjoy doing and the direction in which you are looking to take your career. You can expect there to be a deep dive into your technical skill set.
