Managed Testing Services (MTS) is a new Delivery Unit within Business Technology Solutions focusing on helping our client’s achieve business value through testing transformation. The MTS function is responsible for all aspects of managed testing services focusing on: moving our clients existing embedded testing approach to an output/outcome based service, solutioning MTS bids and providing pre-sales support for Sector growth initiatives.

The focus of your role

The role will typically report to the Test Manager on a given testing assignment and will be carried out at a wide variety of Capgemini and client sites. Central to the role is the definition, development and execution of performance test throughout the complete development lifecycle, from project initiation through to delivery.

What you’ll do

Produce Workload Analysis Document / Performance Test Approach document from project non functional specifications

Produce Performance Test scripts, test data and scenarios in accordance with the documented approach.

Execute the performance tests prescribed within the Workload Analysis Document / Performance Test Design and document any deviation from the test scenarios as originally defined

Log the results of the tests and present any extrapolation required to indicate how the application may perform in production environment

Work with Technical Lead and other resources across the development and environments teams to rectify and retest issues encountered during testing and tune the application performance.

What you’ll bring

We are looking for the highest calibre individuals who exhibit the following attributes, experience and skills that enable them to deliver rapid value to our clients:

Strong capability in at least two performance test tools, such as LoadRunner and JMeter

Strong technical background/capability (e.g. good knowledge of at least one software language)

Fundamental understanding of common application technologies (e.g. web server, database)

Understanding and performance monitoring of different servers (web, app, db), protocols, infrastructure, counter types and different application layers (security, presentation, communication and abstraction)

Technologies needed: C#, .NET, TCP/IP, IIS, SQL Server, Network & server topology (web / app / db server) and knowledge of service layers, restful service, WSDL services, FTS
